Committees and Academic Council

The Academic Council appoints new members to the BSE Board of Trustees, selected among prominent researchers in the academic world.

Each member is an academic and is either a Fellow of the Econometric Society, the European Economic Association, or has been the President of the Spanish Economic Association within the last 10 years.

This committee guides the development of the school’s research initiatives for scientific cooperation. It is composed of the directors of the BSE academic units and chaired by BSE’s General Director.

This committee validates the master programs and follows their development. It also deals with the academic affairs of the school. Members are BSE Affiliated Professors, and the chair is BSE’s General Director.

This committee supports the Director and Deputy Director for Research in assessing and improving the research activities developed by the Barcelona School of Economics, as well as proposing and designing new research activities that may be of interest to our community.
