Ramon Caminal is a Research Professor at the Institute for Economics Analysis (IAE-CSIC) and a BSE Affiliated Professor. His main research areas are Industrial Economics and the Economics of Languages. Recently, he has been working on coalitional bargaining with applications to the of optimal merger policy, the performance of markets in which consumer preferences are subject to temporary satiation, on the reliability of search engines, and on the effect of language skills on the pattern of social interactions and on the intergenerational transmission of language.
He has taught at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), University of Toulouse, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), and Universidad de Oviedo.
