Dr. Adina Claici is a Managing Director at Berkley Research Group. She is a competition economics expert whose background combines consulting experience, academia and nearly a decade at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DG Competition). She specialises in mergers, antitrust and state aid cases, as well as new regulatory tolls as part of the competition policy in the EU (DMA, FSR).

Adina is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars and is named among the global leaders in competition economics by Who’s Who Legal. She has been published in numerous academic journals and authored several book chapters. In addition to her consulting work, she is a visiting professor at the College of Europe.

Before joining BRG, Adina was a principal at an economics consultancy’s Brussels office. Before that, she gained valuable experience at DG Competition, where she was a senior member of the Chief Economist’s team and served as the coordinator for the European Competition Network of Chief Economists. She has supported the European Commission in European General Court hearings related to mergers and state aid.

Adina is fluent in Spanish, French, English and Romanian.
