BSE Associate Research Professor Andrea Polo has been appointed Research Member of the The European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). The new Research Members, who are drawn from academia in Europe, North America, Asia, South America and the Middle East, were admitted on the quality of their academic work in the field of corporate governance.
Professor Polo is one of 71 new Research Members appointed by ECGI this year. BSE Research Professor Xavier Freixas is also a Research Member.
The committee responsible for the selection is currently chaired by Professor Christian Leuz, Joseph Sondheimer Professor of International Economics, Finance and Accounting, University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Also on the committee are Professor Per Strömberg, SSE Centennial Professor of Finance and Private Equity, Stockholm School of Economics and Professor Katharina Pistor, Edwin B. Parker Professor of Comparative Law, Columbia Law School.
Research Members are eligible to publish their academic work on corporate governance and stewardship in the ECGI Working Paper Series (Law and Finance). The series is known for its reliable content, global outlook, and interdisciplinary nature. It is used by scholars, practitioners and policymakers alike to help shape informed views and debates on a wide range of global topics.
