Thomas J. Sargent recognized the reputation of the Barcelona economics research community as well as the support for research of institutions such as the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA).
"The economics research community in Barcelona is one of the best in the world. ICREA has been a key contributor for this to happen."
Professor Sargent is Professor at New York University and a Nobel Laureate in Economics (2011).
