Alberto Santini is a Juan de la Cierva Fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a BSE Affiliated Professor. His previous appointments include a position as post-doctoral researcher at RWTH Aachen University, and as Visiting Research Scientist at Amazon.
Professor Santini's research spans both methodology and applications of operational research. He worked extensively in the optimization of logistics and industrial processes. He also investigated problems on graphs, problems in bioinformatics, and rigorous methodological properties of meta-heuristics.
He has taught at undergraduate and graduate levels at the University of Bologna, RWTH Aachen University, RWTH Business School, UPF, BSM, and BSE.
