Humberto Llavador

UPF and BSE

Humberto Llavador is Associate Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a BSE Affiliated Professor. His research focuses on political economy, climate change, and welfare economics.

He has published in journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Public Economics, the Journal of Development Economics, and Climatic Change. He has visited Yale University on several occasions, and Princeton in 2009 as a member of the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study. He has served as a consultant to the United Nations Development Program.

Together with John E. Roemer and Joaquim Silvestre, he is the coauthor of the book Sustainability for a Warming Planet (Harvard University Press, 2015) which explores the economics of climate change.
