by Tony Beatton (Queensland University of Technology), Ada Ferrer-i-Carbonell (IAE-CSIC and BSE), Paul Frijters (LSE), and Arthur Grimes (Victoria University of Wellington)
In October 2022, members of the World Wellbeing Panel were asked for their views on two statements relating to impacts that major shocks have had, and may continue to have, on our wellbeing.
The two statements were as follows:
Statement 1: The wellbeing of people in countries not directly involved in the Ukraine/Russia conflict has deteriorated as a result of that conflict.
Statement 2: I do not expect my country to regain the level of average wellbeing it had in 2019 in the next 20 years.
Response options for each statement were: “completely agree”, “agree”, “neither agree nor disagree”, “disagree”, “completely disagree”.
