Portrait of Gianmarco León-Ciliotta

Professor Gianmarco León-Ciliotta (UPF and BSE) was recently awarded a Leonardo Grant from the BBVA Foundation as part of the 2022 edition of the Leonardo Grants for Researchers and Cultural Creators.

León-Ciliotta’s project, “The Universal Basic Wage: individual and aggregate effects of public policy experiment,” will study the causal effects at individual level and those of general equilibrium on employment supply and demand. The first of its kind in a developed country, the evaluation will provide valuable insight into the effects of public policies before their implementation.
