The Head of Talent Acquisition at the International Monetary Fund gave a recruitment talk to BSE masters and PhD students this May. She emphasized the importance of soft skills in addition to technical skills when considering candidates for positions with the IMF:

"All of the BSE students I've met have been personable as well as technically prepared. Hard skills can only get you so far. At the IMF we need people with soft skills who are able to perform analysis but can also communicate clearly and openly."
