We want to help all members of the Barcelona School of Economics community to remain healthy and safe.

 

The Barcelona School of Economics continues to take the safety of its faculty, staff, students, and the wider community very seriously and will continue to follow government advice and recommendations for COVID-19. The BSE leadership team will continue to monitor the situation and update our community with any changes to the safety measures.

Please respect UAB and UPF safety protocols whenever you are on campus.

Both UAB and UPF university campuses have adopted coronavirus health and safety measures which all members of the BSE community must respect when using these spaces.

Please continue to follow all the guidelines posted in campus buildings and grounds and make frequent use of hand sanitizing stations.

 

Our commitment to rigorous education and research remains unchanged.

The Barcelona School of Economics will continue to deliver high-quality education programs and support frontier research in the best possible conditions considering the circumstances. Please refer to the list of below for information on contingencies for specific programs and groups.

  • Support for distance learning is provided where needed
  • Tools to facilitate online communication between students and professors
  • Full suite of Career Services training and tools and one-on-one career counseling available online
  • Expanded resources to support mental health

Professional courses and in-company training

Research programs

  • Some seminars series in the BSE research community are being conducted via videoconference.
  • The BSE Summer Forum is planned to take place in Barcelona this June, if conditions permit.

Since the first outbreaks of coronavirus and throughout the evolution of the pandemic, researchers across the BSE community have been working to understand its economic and social impact. Their findings can contribute to the design of policies aimed at mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on individuals and society.
