Energy Economics Summer School

Electricity markets are rapidly transforming in the face of urgent needs to decarbonize our economies. With the goal of Europe to reduce emissions by 55% by 2030, lots of the emphasis and hopes are placed on this sector. How is the market responding to this changing environment?

The Energy Economics Summer School at the Barcelona School of Economics will teach you how to use economic modeling, data, and computational tools to examine the impacts of the energy transition and to determine how heterogeneous the impacts are across households.

This program will be beneficial to students with an Undergraduate degree in Economics, Statistics, or equivalent. Familiarity with Julia/Python/R or similar programming languages is encouraged to be able to follow the class.
