Teaching at the Barcelona School of Economics

Xavier Ramos is Professor of Economics and Vice-Rector of Economy at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a guest professor at the Barcelona School of Economics.

He is a research fellow of IZA and founding member of EQUALITAS (Economics of Inequality and Poverty Analysis). He is also the book review editor of the Journal of Economic Inequality and was member of the executive committee of the Society for the Study of Economic Inequality (ECINEQ) from 2011 to 2017.

His research focuses on economic inequality and poverty. He is currently working on equality of opportunity, intergenerational mobility, and public policy evaluation.
