The BSE Summer Forum Workshop on Economics of Science and Innovation will take place in Barcelona from June 17-18, 2024.

The contribution of innovation and entrepreneurship to economic prosperity has grown exponentially in recent years with the shift of development economies towards knowledge-based societies. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Funding new ideas
• Entrepreneurial finance
• Venture capital
• Funding schemes and panel evaluation
• Knowledge and technology transfer
• Academic networks and team work
• Innovation policy instruments such as intellectual property rights
• New data and methods for measuring innovation
• Relationship between innovation and organization or market structures
• Relationship between innovation and broader economic outcomes
