Fabian Gaessler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a Barcelona School of Economics Affiliated Professor. He is also an Affiliated Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. 

Professor Gaessler's research interests center around the drivers and consequences of innovation. ​In pursuing my research, I work at the intersection of applied microeconomics and strategic management with a particular focus on intellectual property rights, knowledge production, and technology strategy.
