Guillem López-Casasnovas (BA in Economics, BA in Law, PhD, University of York) has been Professor at UPF since 1992. He is the founder of the Research Centre on Health and Economics (CRES) at UPF and was the director until 2005.
He has been a member of the Directors Board of the Bank of Spain since 2005, and he serves as advisor of the Spanish Ministry of Health and Social Policy and the Catalan Health Ministry. From 2007-2013 he was President of the International Health Economics Association (IHEA). He has also served as an expert advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO) on health inequalities in the European Union.
Professor López-Casasnvas was scientific director of the BSE Master Program in Health Economics and Policy (2011-2014).
