Alexander Krauss a Ramón y Cajal post-doc researcher at the Institute for Economics Analysis (IAE-CSIC) and an Affiliated Professor of the Barcelona School of Economics. He is also a Research Associate at the London School of Economics. 

Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University College London and University of Barcelona. He also worked for five years at the World Bank, mainly on public policies and reforms in areas such as health, poverty reduction, education and labour.

His main research interests are in the science of science, economics of science, and development economics.
