Alvin Roth (Harvard University) was a guest speaker at the 4th Barcelona Economics Lecture. Prof. Roth primary fields of interest are game theory as a part of empirical economics, and experimental economic theory. In 2012, he shared the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics.
