Lead Geospatial Data Scientist at BeZero Carbon

Edoardo Nemni is currently working as Lead Geospatial Data Scientist at BeZero Carbon. Before joining BeZero, he worked on artificial intelligence applications for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response as Data Scientist at the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT), based at CERN. He oversaw the development and operationalization of machine learning models applied to satellite imagery for disaster response such as flood analysis, shelter mapping, building footprints, damage assessment, and more. He also designed operational analysis pipelines to speed up decision-making processes that deliver support in emergency response. Before UNOSAT, he completed an M.Sc. in mathematical modeling and computation at the Technical University of Denmark.
