Pierre Magontier is a Post-doctoral Fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE). He is also an affiliated researcher at the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB) and the Center for Regional Economic Development (CRED).

Magontier’s research interests focus on the forces that shape urban and regional development, which he explores by drawing on insights from the political economy and environmental economics.

He holds a PhD from Universitat de Barcelona.
