Relational Contracts

The 12th edition of the annual Workshop on Relational Contracts (see previous editions at relationalcontracts.net), is this year hosted within the BSE Summer Forum.

Relational contracts are agreements whose enforcement depends on the continuation of relationships rather than solely on formal legal constraints. They are central to the design and management of organizations as well as how organizations interact with each other. They are particularly important in contexts such as international trade, development economics and international agreements.

The workshop focuses on recent developments in relational governance, informal contractual relationships, dynamic contracts, reputation, trust and self-enforcing mechanisms. We invite submissions of empirical and theoretical papers.
