The BSE Data Science Center focuses on research, training, and knowledge transfer in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

BSE created this framework so that BSE researchers could work together with other talented researchers, practitioners, statisticians, and data scientists on challenging problems within both industry and academia.

BSE hosts the Barcelona office of the Innovation Growth Lab (IGL), a global laboratory for innovation and growth policy developed by Nesta (UK).

As a host city for IGL’s research based on experiments and randomized controlled trials (RCTs), Barcelona will continue to strengthen its reputation as a hub for cutting-edge science in Europe.

IPEG is a joint collaboration between Universitat Pompeu Fabra, BSE, and “la Caixa” Foundation, with the support of the Government of Catalonia.

IPEG is a research center that focuses on the interaction between politics (political regimes and institutions, political order and conflict, the aggregation of preferences and interests) and economics (development, the economic cycle, redistribution and welfare).

In addition to producing and distributing research with international impact, IPEG’s strategic objectives include fostering greater integration among various parts of the social sciences in Barcelona, particularly among Political Science, Economics, Sociology and History.
