Frank Verboven is Professor of economics at the KU Leuven. He is a Managing Editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, and a former member of the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy at the European Commission (2003-2019). His research focuses on the empirical analysis of market power with applications to competition policy and regulation, and has been published in the top international economics journals. He has taught empirical methods for competition policy at various institutions, and has advised competition authorities and leading companies on various cases.
