Lorenzo Coppi is an Executive Vice President in Compass Lexecon’s European competition policy group. Lorenzo Coppi has over thirteen years of experience in the application of economics to competition law cases and regulation. Having spent a number of years practicing in London and Washington, DC, Dr. Coppi has worked on a variety of EU, US, and UK mergers as well as on cases involving various allegations of anticompetitive practices under EU, US, and UK competition law, in litigation and regulatory settings. Dr. Coppi’s analytic focus has been on merger analysis, State aid, market definition, assessment of market power, abusive pricing practices, and the market impact of cartels. His sector expertise includes financial markets, various high technology industries, media and telecommunications, chemicals, retailing, beverage and distilled spirits industries, and several consumer goods industries.
