BSE receives ‘Insignia de Oro’ from the Spanish Institute of Analysts
The Barcelona School of Economics (BSE) has received the gold badge (Insignia de Oro) from the Spanish Institute of Analysts in recognition of the work carried out in economic research and education.
BSE was selected for this prestigious award based on the School’s excellent track record and exceptional achievements in economic research and education. The vice president of the Spanish Institute of Analysts, Margarida Gabarró, presented the award to BSE director Teresa Garcia-Milà at the award ceremony on May 22 in Barcelona.
In her acceptance speech, Professor Garcia-Milà explained that it was an honor to receive this award on behalf of BSE. She also commented that “receiving the Insignia de Oro is an important recognition of what the Barcelona School of Economics has achieved in research and education over the last 17 years. BSE is very young and this recognition helps to project the School among the associates of the Spanish Institute of Analysts and within the field of economics and finance.”
The award ceremony was also attended by Cirus Andreu (formerly at Banc Sabadell), Sofía Rodríguez (Chief Economist and Assistant General Manager of Banc Sabadell), Margarida Gabarró (Vice President of the Spanish Institute of Analysts and President of the Institute’s Catalan delegation), Lola Solana (President of the Spanish Institute of Analysts) and Josep M. Vilarrúbia (General Secretary, Minister of Economy and Finance, Government of Catalonia), who are pictured above with Professor Garcia-Milà.
