Annual BSE Career Days connect Master’s students with 56 recruiters
The events in October gives current students the opportunity to meet and engage with international recruiters, top industry professionals, and BSE Alumni
Preparing students for their future careers is paramount. In October 2023, BSE Career Services department organized in-person and online networking and recruiting events. There were two events in total:
- On-campus Career Day
- Online Career Day
186 students and 56 recruiters participated in this edition across the two events.
BSE Career Day (on campus)
Held at Ciutadella Campus (UPF), 19 different organizations from a wide range of industries including Economics, Finance, and others joined together with students to participate in a full day of exploring different career paths.

On-campus career day program
In total, students were able to participate in 37 different activities which included:
- Company presentations about their available internships, full-time opportunities for graduates, application and selection processes
- Networking opportunities during breaks where students could speak directly with recruiters
- Case studies in target industries
- One-on-one sessions between students and a company of their choice
Some of the speakers at this year’s Career Day were BSE Alumni. Students were provided with valuable insight into their experiences and how a Master’s degree from BSE has helped them to progress in different industries and their careers.
Students also get another opportunity to interact with and question Alumni during a series of Alumni Talks also held in October. The webinars included panel discussions and presentations by 16 Barcelona School of Economics alumni with professional experience in consulting firms, data science jobs, financial services, and international organizations.

BSE Career Day (online)
The online Career Day was held as a separate event during which the following seven companies presented:
- CEPA
- EU Careers
- Instiglio
- Inter-American Development Bank
- Oxford Economics
- Sustainable Fitch
- World Trade Organization
The event was a great success and gave students another opportunity to connect with potential future employers and key figures across a variety of industries.

BSE Career Services department organizes several events throughout the year to support Master's students' career development and help prepare them for a successful job search. The department will hold another Career Day focusing on Data Science in February 2024.
