About Jan Eeckhout

Jan Eeckhout (PhD, London School of Economics) is an ICREA Research Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and a Barcelona School of Economics Research Professor.

His work on Macroeconomics and Labor Markets has been published in the top Economics journals. He is the author of the book, “The Profit Paradox” (Princeton University Press, 2021).

Throughout his career, Professor Eeckhout has received funding for his research from the European Research Council (ERC), the National Science Foundation (United States), and from private grants.

He was elected Fellow of the Econometric Society in 2019.
