The fifth edition of the BSE Summer Forum Workshop on Networks convenes some of the world’s leading researchers in the field of economic and social networks. The workshop is designed broadly to include work at the frontier of research in economic and social networks – work that, for instance, considers the role of information networks in the media, the role of peer effects in education and immigrant communities, the role of networks in providing social insurance, an analysis of opinion polarization and segregation in communities, or the organization and efficiency of networked markets, just to name a few examples. We encourage both theoretical and empirical work on the topic.
