About This Workshop

As in previous years, the BSE Summer Forum Workshop on Theoretical and Experimental Macroeconomics will bring together researchers working at the intersection of Macroeconomics, Behavioral and Experimental economics, and related fields.

The 2026 edition coincides with the 90th anniversary of the publication of Keynes’ General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money. In that spirit, we plan to especially encourage submissions that engage with themes central to Keynesian and post-Keynesian thought—such as New Keynesian models, animal spirits, macroeconomic fluctuations driven by sentiment, and the microfoundations of sticky expectations and coordination failures.

This is the 17th edition of the Theoretical and Experimental Macroeconomics workshop series.
