Alexander Wurdinger is an Assistant Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and Affiliated Professor of the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE).

His research focuses on how large-scale macroeconomic changes affect labor market outcomes across different groups of workers and how policy can help shape those outcomes. To do this, he combines quantitative structural modeling with causal inference using microdata.

Professor Wurdinger received his Phd from the University of Minnesota. During his time in Minnesota, he also worked as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
