Renato Vassallo

Renato is a researcher at IAE-CSIC (Spanish National Research’s Institute for Economic Analysis) and a PhD-track student in the IDEA Program (UAB-BSE). He develops tools that combine machine learning and causal inference, with recent work focusing on early-warning systems and NLP applications for international institutions, including the German Foreign Office, the United Nations, and the International Monetary Fund. Previously, he worked as a macroeconomic specialist at Peru’s Fiscal Council.
