Oreste Tristani is a Senior Adviser in the Directorate General Research of the European Central Bank. He has published several articles on monetary policy, credit policies and the term structure of interest rates in leading academic journals, and he is the author of the book Monetary Policy in the Euro Area (with O. Issing, V. Gaspar and I. Angeloni). He previously worked as an economist at the Bank of Italy.
