Mifra (short for Miguel Francisco) is an infrastructure and DevOps engineer who has spent his career on the side of data science that keeps workloads running. He is currently working in the Statistical Programming and Analytics department of Bayer as Innovation Lead, bringing AI initiatives to the unit.

Before that, he was the infrastructure engineer behind EconAI (IAE-CSIC), building the hybrid cloud and on-premises platform that runs its ML pipelines. He also spent three years at Ericsson in systems engineering and SRE, keeping production Big Data clusters alive and auditing the security of Kubernetes-based MLOps platforms. He came to engineering by an unusual route, through a degree in Communications and a digital marketing agency he co-founded in Peru.
