Santiago Martínez-Pinna

Santiago worked for 20 years in the Bank of Spain as Supervisor of Banks and in the last years was appointed Executive Coordinator of the Supervision of Santander and BBVA. In 2013-2014, he was the Spanish Representative in the Supervisory Intensity and Effectiveness Group of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) in charge of strengthening supervision and development of global regulation after the big financial crisis.

He has worked at PwC since 2014, leading the assessment on Risk and Regulation projects (SREP, Risk Appetite Framework, ICAAP, IFRS9, Liquidity and Solvency Stress Test, Early warning models, UTPs, Credit Underwriting, etc.) for the main banks of Spain and their subsidiaries in Europe and America.

He also led the assessment on international projects in Turkey, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Albania, and Colombia. Professor in the MBA Master of Deusto, IEB, Universidad de Navarra, and Universidad Carlos III, and speaker at numerous seminars in Europe, Asia and America.
