Francesco Carli is an Assistant Professor at Deakin University, Australia. He received his PhD in 2013 from Washington University in St. Louis. His research interests include applied contract theory and monetary theory, particularly as it relates to financial contracting, the design of financial institutions, and their role in the design of formal and informal risk-sharing arrangements. He is currently working on issues related to the role of information and technology in insurance provision in village economies.
