Carolina Bussotti is a PhD student at the Rome Economics Doctorate (RED) run by EIEF, LUISS, Sapienza University of Rome and Tor Vergata University of Rome.

In September 2026, she joined the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Department of Economics and Economic History) as Assistant Professor and Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics.

Her research focuses on Macroeconomics and Labor Economics, particularly on firms’ capital investment decisions, labor demand, and wage determination in frictional labor markets. She works with labor search models and administrative employer–employee data.
