chat on tablet

BSE program ambassadors and admissions staff are available to speak with you one-on-one through our new online chat platform.

We've had some great feedback from applicants and also from alumni who are already using this new tool. Here's what some of them have told us:

Applicants and incoming students

Ricardo Gonçalves da Sil '21 (Economics)

"I sent a few messages to some former students and one of them answered almost instantly. He was very friendly and helpful. The app allowed me to talk directly with a former student about the process of moving to Barcelona from the perspective of someone who had already done that. Without the app, I probably wouldn't have been able to talk to an alumni of BSE, since I don't know any personally. I definitely like the app and I will probably keep using it until I finally arrive in Barcelona."

Margherita Monacchi '21 (Economics of Public Policy)

"I've been in touch with Francesco Prencipe '18 (Economics of Public Policy) through the online chat. Francesco was extremely helpful and clear, he gave me a detailed description of his personal experience at BSE, but he also answered my questions in a clear and objective way. Coming from the same country, we experienced a similar educational approach in the past, so he was especially helpful in describing how the master was different and useful for him."

Alumni program ambassadors

Avinam Satpathy '19 (Economics)

"The incredible Master's programs at the BSE attract talent from all the corners of the world. Naturally, the student pool abounds with a diversity of backgrounds and skill sets. In my opinion, your experience at the BSE is a product of the school's efforts as well as your own prior influences. Thus, it is important that in the early stages while you're preparing for the program, you connect with the BSE alumni that you feel you can relate to and whose advice you can learn from the most. This is where I believe the Program Ambassador Online Chat is a great initiative that enables prospective students and alumni to easily get together and discuss their experiences, thereby taking a step forward in making sure that prospective students make the most informed decision."

Juan Imbett ’15 (Finance), PhD student in Finance at GPEFM (UPF and BSE)

"Having the opportunity to speak with alumni about their experience allows you to take full advantage of your time in Barcelona. It also helps you prepare for the rigorous academic programs so you can brush-up on some helpful skills before starting your master."

Analia Belen Garcia '19 (ITFD), Research Assistant at Banc Sabadell

"The chat platform is an effective and fun way to get insights directly from the alumni. You will get a broader picture of the whole experience: not only what it's like during the Master's, but also life as a graduate, the rewards of the experience, and your options in the professional market or the academic path!"
