Thanks to the presence of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona has been included in the Times Higher Education list of top university cities. Both UAB and UPF are ranked among THE's Top 200 World Universities and the top 20 Young Universities (institutions under 50 years old). The Autònoma and Pompeu Fabra are the founding universities of the Barcelona School of Economics and jointly award the BSE Master's degrees in Economics and Finance, Specialized Economic Analysis, and Data Science.
