The Generalitat de Catalunya awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi to Prof. Guillem López-Casasnovas (UPF and BSE) in recognition of his dedication to economic science on issues such as efficiency in the public sector, the health sector, and the fiscal balances between regions and local finance, among others. He received the award from President Carles Puigdemont.
